THIS event is organised by Peter Wood, from The Gauge 1 Model Railway
Association, with the help of Tony Kuivala and Austin Moss, but this show is not just about model railways. The current
Big Model and Hobby Show was started back in 2019 following the announcement
that the long running Woodvale Rally was no longer going to take place within
the Southport area.
The show aims to exhibit a wide range of hobbies and hobby related activities,
giving local and national societies, businesses and a few international groups a
way inspiring a new audience to take up their hobby or to see the hobby in a
different way. Visitors to the show can expect to see all types of displays,
from virtual reality to physical engineering displays, that can work both as a
hobby and also as a tool within the work place. Other hobbies range from
arts and crafts to learning about the preservation of model railways and
footpaths. Plus lots more...
If you are a member of a hobby group, be that sport
related or model related and would like to have an opportunity to exhibit,
please do let us know. Please go to our contact
page and send us your information along with
details of what you can offer visitors to the show...
