Gauge 1 Live Steam

The Gauge 1 Model Railway Association will again be hosing the event and will be presenting a stand at the event. The group will have the Gauge 1 exhibition layout with them, The Association are expecting to be running trains on the layout throughout the event. The club was established in the 1940's and has since grown to become a world wide organisation. This year the display will feature the clubs show case layout:- "Dobson Bridge" along with live steam models along with radio controlled model trains.

THE Bury Standard 4 Group was founded in 1984 and will be attending the event. This small group of enthusiasts, original aim was to purchase a BR Standard Class 4 Tank Engine from Woodham’s of Barry Island. They then went on and purchase another as well, with the aims of restoring it for use on the East Lancashire Railway. The engines are now owned by The Bury Steam locomotive Company limited.

The group will be attending with display stand and some interesting objects... This will be your chance to find out how more about them, along with having a chance to purchase shares within the company, as well as finding out how you can get involved in preserving these locomotives for future generations to enjoy.
